VACANCY – GARDEN MANAGER
After seven years in post the present garden manager is retiring from the garden. The board of directors are looking to appoint a full time replacement ideally starting around the 1st May 2017.
The post involves the day to day management of the garden as a tourist attraction and garden centre. The success of these and all associated aspects enables the charity to deliver its charitable purposes, which are:
- The provision of horticultural therapy
- The ongoing restoration of the garden
- The promotion of gardening
There will be real opportunity for the successful candidate to drive the gardens and their facilities to the next level, supported by an exciting programme of future investment and development.
An open day on Saturday 25th February will be held in the gardens, where prospective candidates can visit the garden to view the grounds and facilities; and to discuss any aspect of the role with the present post holder. To book a place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
The application process closes on Sunday 5th March with interviews expected to take place the week commencing Monday 20th March. If a suitable candidate has come forward, the Trustees will confirm their appointment that week and take up any necessary references.
The Trustees expect that the successful candidate will start work in Helmsley on Monday 1st May. A handover period is scheduled to take place before the current post holder leaves at the beginning of June.
