An exciting opportunity for a part time Finance and Administration Officer has become available at Helmsley Walled Garden in the North York Moors National Park.
Your workplace will be set in a beautiful, tranquil 250 year old garden that welcomes thousands of visitors each year, provides a horticultural therapy service for vulnerable adults and is maintained by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers.
So what will you be responsible for as our Finance and Administration Officer?
- Administration of the finance function including recording of income and expenditure, VAT returns, invoicing, processing of supplier payments and expenses, cash handling and banking.
- Facilitate timely and consistent communications with supporters of the Garden, ensuring that they receive a first-class and excellent level of customer service.
- General office administration and smooth-running of the office.
The ideal candidate will have finance and administrative experience and have good numeracy skills whilst demonstrating experience of using IT systems to a highly competent level. You will be self-sufficient and accurate whilst providing an excellent level of customer service.
Having driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to the role.
The 16 hours per week (£8428 per annum) will be spread over 4 or 5 days (Monday to Friday) and will need to cover mornings. Some flexibility in start and finish times can be negotiated to meet particular needs if required.
