Nearly £1m worth of restoration has now been completed. It is the culmination of 5 years work to restore the Victorian glass houses and forcing sheds. The Vinery houses 34 vine varieties, the café and interpretation area.
The official opening by Lord Crawthorne, the Lord Lieutenant was on 30th May 2005. The developments complement the 10 years of hard work on the once abandoned garden.
Developments include an ethical shop selling local products made by real people and many recycled goods all made in England, mostly in Yorkshire and Helmsley.
Stroll through the newly restored Victorian glasshouses or picnic on our beautiful lawns. |
