I am a friend of Helmsley Walled Garden and have been taking pictures of it for four years now. I like to get close to the flowers with my camera and get shots that show detail that you would not normally see with the naked eye. I am retired and very much an amateur relying on my camera to know what it is doing. I love colour, and the riot of colour in the borders by the central path and the wildflower meadow keep tempting me back. We enjoy the drive through Bilsdale to get to the garden and appreciate the interesting lunches that we can get in the café.
